Casa Tranquilo is a Rustic Tico-Style house turned into a relaxed property in the village of Santa Elena in Monteverde. Here you will find Free Breakfast, free internet and WiFi access, kitchen facilities and parking area.

The property is characterized by its unique set-up. Its a place where travellers can relax and enjoy the view of the forest and landscape on the porch upstairs. Prepare a good meal and exchange travelling tips in the kitchen and dinning room. Check e-mail and get in contact with the loved ones , backup your photos or upload them to your Facebook... Burn CDs, print documents and, salsa dancing lessons are free of charge.

We are committed in supporting our local economy, the majority of the ingredients of our breakfast is produced and prepared in Monteverde. Our milk is from the local cheese factory, the bread and granola are home-made, eggs, coffee and fruits are produced locally as well.

Our staff is friendly and helpful and will be happy to help you in anything you may require from them. The staff working at Casa Tranquilo has over 20 years of experience living, breathing and hiking in the cloud forest, we know all the great little secrets of the area better than anyone else in town... You may even hire one of our local guides to take you around and show you the off the beaten path side of Monteverde's cloud forest.

Casa Tranquilo is also aware and committed to the environment... At the property we strive to be as environmental friendly as possible, and we encourage our guests to help out in these practices while staying at our property... Recycling is very important at the property. We use the supermarket bags as garbage bags for example. We try to use only energy saving light bulbs. We have installed strategically windows and skylights in the house to provide it with the best natural lighting possible.

Cancellations made less than 3 days of arrival date the first night is charged as a no show.
